Buy and Sell Signals, and How to Read Them
Looking at a chart and saying “buy” or “sell” is easy, and that is precisely why it is useless. What gives a signal value is not its direction but the reasoning behind it and the condition under which it stops being valid.

Where a signal comes from
Each analysis computes dozens of indicators and classifies every one of them as bullish, bearish or neutral against its own threshold. RSI sitting in an extreme zone, MACD crossing its signal line, which side of the 200-period average price is on, how strong ADX reads — each is a separate input.
Those inputs are weighted into an overall assessment. What you see on screen is a single verdict label, but the real information sits in the two lists beneath it: bullish signals and bearish signals.
Conflicting signals are not a defect
Markets routinely produce indicators pointing in opposite directions at the same time. If a trend indicator says up while momentum says weakening, the text prints both. That is not an inconsistency; it is a measured statement that the market is undecided.
A one-sided text is more comfortable to read and more selective about the facts. Output that hides the opposing side never tells you what you are accepting when you decide; seeing both lists does exactly that.
How entry, stop and target levels are derived
These levels are not forecasts. The entry zone comes from existing support and resistance structure, the stop distance from volatility measured by ATR, and the target from the next meaningful zone in the direction of the reading. The risk-reward ratio is simply the arithmetic consequence.
A wide stop on a volatile asset is not a flaw but a reflection of reality. Placing a tight stop does not reduce risk; it only increases the chance of being taken out by noise.
The invalidation condition: the most skipped line
Every analysis states the condition under which the scenario is no longer valid. It is the most valuable part of the output and usually the least read. A threshold fixed in advance makes it harder to argue with yourself when price arrives there.
In practice: after reading an analysis, write the invalidation level down separately. Reconsidering when price reaches a level you chose beforehand is far healthier than looking for a fresh justification in the moment.
The limits of any signal
Technical signals are born from price and volume alone. They cannot see an earnings calendar, a sector headline, a regulatory decision or a protocol development, and any of those can invalidate a clean technical picture with one announcement.
The second limit is time: a signal belongs to the timeframe it was produced on. A cross that appears on the hourly chart does not change daily structure. Deciding up front which scale you are trading removes most of the apparent contradiction between signals.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the tool tell me directly to buy or sell?
It produces an overall verdict label, but the substance is in the reasoning: bullish signals, bearish signals, risk level and the invalidation condition. Reading the label alone skips most of the output.
Why do signals sometimes contradict each other?
Because indicators measure different things. Trend indicators measure direction, oscillators measure extremes, volume indicators measure participation. Pointing different ways at once is normal and is usually a reason to wait.
How is the stop level determined?
From current volatility measured by ATR together with the nearest support or resistance structure. No fixed percentage is applied, since the same percentage means different things on a volatile crypto pair and a quiet stock.
Are these signals investment advice?
No. Everything on this page and every output of the tool is for information and education only, not investment advice. Bubixo does not provide investment advisory services.
Can I see the history of past signals?
Analysis history is a Pro feature; it lets you list and compare previous analyses. On the free plan the most recent result stays on screen.
